It may not seem like it from the scheme of my blog, but I absolutely adore colors. I often take colors for granted, from the midnight blue of a denim hat, to the the rose felt on my glasses case. But focusing on the colors, and the names of the colors that denote the spectrum of hues and shades before my eyes, lifts my spirits in moments of gloom. The fine distinction between colors such as burgundy and maroon, or sapphire and navy blue, can be captivating, especially considering the difficulty of finding the proper name for a color in the sea of words of the English language.
