For me, time usually passes quickly. It does not take much for a second to become a minute, or an hour to stretch into half of a day. Yet at this rare moment, when my mind is clear and the roaring, distracting thoughts claw at the center of my peace, time passes ever so slowly. While I prefer the chaos because it is comfortable, this feeling of freedom is also welcoming. It is as though I experience time the way others do, keenly aware of each passiing moment, rather than having weeks and months vanish before the ever fading nature of my memory. I cannot say for certainty that I enjoy this feeling, but at the very least, the clarity is a change from the way my mind usually works.
