If my blog appears to be active with a lot of short posts, it is because I have issued a personal challenge to myself.  Every day for the month of February, I would write precisely one sentence more than I did the day before that of my current entry.   A far simpler way of putting that is that I would write the same number of sentences as the numeric day of the month.  Since today is February 9, 2008, I would write nine sentences.

The problem is that I have no idea what to write.  Instead I’ll let this entry be a silly, self-referential entry that really wouldn’t count if I were to impose quality control on myself.  After all, it is better to write something than it is to write nothing.  I also know that if I were to fail now, it would be the perfect excuse for me to throw this abandoned project along with the same scrap heap as my other goals and dreams.  So with this ninth sentence, I proclaim that I will be better tomorrow.
